Katrina Legarda

THE campaign season is still four months away but already, lawyer Katrina Legarda appears bent on throwing a monkey wrench on Loren Legarda’s campaign, threatening to join the presidential race should the lady senator-broadcaster insist on pursuing her Malacañang ambitions.

According to the grapevine, Katrina is committed to Senator Mar Roxas for 2010, and the lady lawyer’s threatened candidacy is one of the options apparently in her legal arsenal to prevent another female occupant in the Palace by the Pasig, right after the popularity-challenged Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

Katrina, who thanks her parents for not being related to Loren Legarda, seems to think that the lady senator would eat up votes from Roxas more than Senator Manuel Villar should the presidential campaign end up in a three-cornered fight.
